Set Aside a Few Hours this Spring to Clean YOUR Community!

Spring has arrived! The birds are chirping, daffodils are blooming and the City of Ottawa is getting ready for the semi-annual Cleaning The Capital campaign. This is a non-for-profit initiative where groups sign up to gather and pick up litter around parks, bus stops, ravines, shorelines, pathways and any other area that needs some love!

The event which kicks off April 15th 2021, already has 590+ unique groups ready to tackle the garbage left behind in their neighbourhood.  You can register for this initiative by being placed on a team, or you can create your own team and clean up YOUR community! Registration is open, write the city and they will provide you with a cleanup kit to work towards a more clean & green tomorrow!

Important Dates

• March 15, 2021: Early bird registration begins

• April 15, 2021 - May 15, 2021: Spring Cleaning the Capital campaign

• May 15, 2021: Registration ends

• May 31, 2021: Deadline to submit your online cleanup report.
